Last year Zoe Tucker ran a series of art classes for us where we learnt about

the work of Alfred Wallis (1855 – 1942).

 

Alfred Wallis was a Cornish fisherman and artist known for his port landscapes and shipping scenes painted in a naïve style. Having no artistic training, he began painting at the age of 70, using household paint on scraps of cardboard. 

 

This is one of his original paintings.
